On our last visit in Paris we did some acoustic sessions for French webzine Le Cargo. Here is For Air.
Live footage from our show at Le Divan du Monde in Paris. Filmed by Valerie for her website ilovesweden.net.
Check out our good friend Victor’s music project AFRIKA. Victor’s the one who’s done all our artwork and also the music video to our first single Happiness. He’s also done the live visuals and some of the artwork for The Field, and been a steady member of the The Field live setup.
Now he’s finally taken the time to work on his own music!
Have a listen to the song OH, featuring Kicki on vocals.
Kicki is featured on the new single of Danish artist Taragana Pyjarama!
Have a listen!
GRENOBLE AND THE LAST SHOW
The day after our radio show gig in Paris we took the train to Grenoble. Both of us started reading The Hunger Games during the tour and we got so absorbed by the first volume we ended up searching the French book stores for both the sequel and the third volume because we couldn’t stop reading. Well in Grenoble we played at a nice old theater in front of a sitting audience, together with German artist Dillon. The light technician was really good making the scene setting feel dark and mysterious. We got a beer tap in our dressing room, but couldn’t figure out how to pour the beer without getting all the foam in it, so we eventually had to go and order in the bar instead. The evening was sold out in advance and even though it can be a little strange playing in front of sitting audience, it was a great show. Grenoble is absolutely beautiful with all the high mountains surrounding the city. We would have loved to stay a little longer, but it was the end of the tour and we had to get back to Stockholm.
But we’ll be back for sure!
PARIS LAST DAY
The last day in Paris we had some time off during the day and hung out by the canal enjoying the nice weather. In the evening we played live at a radio show called Planet Claire and our friend Valerie who’s filmed us for her website ilovesweden.net came and kept us company.
We had such a great time in Paris. We’ve both been there before but only during Christmas when it was freezing and everything was closed. This was a totally different experience and we’re eager to come back.
PARIS SECOND DAY
Our second night in Paris we played the Le Divan Du Monde show together with American band Dum Dum Girls and French duo Mensch. It was a great night, the place was crowded and the other bands were really good, especially Dum Dum Girls. We were supposed to do a photo shoot up on the roof before the show but security had us get down from there, apparently this wasn’t approved of. We also did an odd but fun web interview for cafebabel.com where we had to act out some scenes from a French movie. It will be up in a few weeks. After the show we all went to Rock’n Roll Circus where Mensch had a release party for their new album.
A really good night!
